Paul Barnes is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Member of the Institution of Asset management and Association of Project Management. His experience with Contractors, Consultants and now Network Rail covers design, construction and delivery of many projects across the operational railway asset base with a particular interest in the railway as a system.. His current role is developing the Intelligent Infrastructure portfolio for Network Rail, expanding the successes of recent years to more operational assets with a particular interest in application of train borne equipment to maintenance activity.
